The Bluffton Low Country is comprised of four counties: Beaufort, Colleton, Hampton, and Jasper. Located primarily in the Southern most part of the state of South Carolina. The local topography is a blend of salt water marshes and water inlets. The Bluffton elevation is about 25 to 40 Feet above mean sea level.

Much to our advantage, the local climate is considered to be semi-tropical. The mid-winter temperature will customarily range from about the 60ºs during the day to the lower 40ºs at night. The spring and fall seasons are an absolute delight with mild day and evening temperatures.

There are many distinct communities in the Bluffton area, each with their own unique appeal. Many are gated self contained communities offering an array of amenities ranging from golf & tennis club memberships to private water access. More then $1.5 billion impacted the Hilton Head, Bluffton, SC/Bluffton-Okatie economy in 2000 by 2.5 million visitors, several hundred of whom made the move permanent. Presently, there are more than 600 real estate executives employed on the Island. 61% of local jobs are tourism-related. Approximately 43 percent of the 5,000 licensed Island enterprises are retail and service-oriented companies. Retail operations and restaurants in particular have flourished in the Bluffton-Okatie area.
